Route Description – 21.1km Race

The Mamre Half Marathon will take place on 27 June 2026, starting in the quiet hamlet of Mamre along Johannes Street and finishing at Mamre Primary School.

Mamre lies approximately 60 km from Cape Town, just off the West Coast Road.

The out-and-back course follows Silverstream Road, offering a mildly undulating terrain that can produce fast times.

  • First 3 km: Flat and comfortable, ideal for settling into rhythm.
  • 3 km – 10.5 km: A gradual climb followed by a steeper descent leading to the turnaround point. Along this stretch, runners are rewarded with spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean near Silverstream Strand.
  • 5 km – 14 km: A challenging uphill section, widely considered the toughest part of the race.
  • Final 7 km: A gentle decline all the way back to Mamre Primary School, providing a smooth finish.

This scenic route combines coastal beauty with a fair test of endurance, making it a memorable race for both seasoned athletes and newcomers.
